Last updated: July 19, 2026. This explains what we collect, why, and how it's used.
| Data | Source | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Discord ID, username, avatar, email | Discord OAuth login | Identify your account, link your license, dashboard display |
| License key, plan, expiry, status | Generated on purchase | Grant and verify access to the client |
| Hardware ID (HWID) | Computed by the launcher on first run | Bind your license to one device |
| IP address, verification timestamps | License server logs | Abuse prevention, debugging |
We never see or store your payment method, card number, or crypto wallet private keys. Payments are handled entirely by our payment processor (NowPayments) — we only receive a payment confirmation and the plan you purchased.
The website stores your Discord session and license key locally in your browser (localStorage) so you don't have to log in every visit. This stays on your device and isn't shared with anyone; clearing your browser data removes it.
We keep license and account data for as long as your license is active, plus a reasonable period after expiry for support purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see below).
You can ask us to show you what data we hold on your account, correct it, or delete it, by reaching out on Discord. Deleting your account data will deactivate any associated license.
License data is only readable and writable through our server using an authenticated, server-side connection — never directly from the browser. HWID and license keys act as access credentials; treat your license key like a password.
Storm Client is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under that age.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
Questions or data requests can be sent through our Discord.
